Hoxworth Celebrates Largest Blood Drive on UC's Campus
Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati reports that the All-Campus fall blood drive was a record-breaking success, registering 1,513 donors. This is the largest blood drive held on the UC campus. All donors received a $5 restaurant gift card as a special thank you for their lifesaving donation.
The blood drive registered 1,513 individuals and collected 1,197 lifesaving blood products, enough to save more than 3,591 lives in the Tristate. The drive also recruited 684 first-time donors, says Alecia Lipton, community relations manager for Hoxworth Blood Center.
Mark your calendar for the next All-Campus blood drive will be held Monday, Jan. 13, through Friday, Jan. 17, in TUC.
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati was founded in 1938 and proudly serves 31 hospitals in 17 counties in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana.
