See How to Set Up a Personal Voicemail Greeting for When Your Phone Is Busy

The University of Cincinnati's new voicemail system provides features that enhance user experience.

A busy greeting allows users to record a personal message that informs callers they are on the other line and prompts them to leave a voicemail. Users can set up their busy greeting in four steps once their voicemail box is set up.

Instructions for setting up voicemail box:

  1. Press the MAIL button on your phone or dial * 5.a. OR, if you are calling from a campus phone other than your personal line, dial *5, press # and enter your 5-digit campus phone number.b. OR, from off campus, dial 558-6245, press # and enter your 5-digit campus phone number.
  2. Enter the initial security code 1111.
  3. Create and confirm a 4 to 15 digit security code.
  4. Record your first and last name.
  5. Record your greeting.

Instructions for setting up busy greeting:

  1. Press the MAIL button on your phone or dial *5.
  2. Enter your security code.
  3. Press 3, then 5.
  4. Record your greeting.
