
Enroll For UC Benefits Now
Are you getting the most possible value from the benefit package at UC? Do you know which plans make the most sense financially for your family?
We know that picking the right benefits can be a challenge, so this year we are partnering with Hodges- Mace Benefits Group to bring in professional benefit counselors to walk you through the process, said Elizabeth Aumann, UC Director of Benefits. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about your UC benefits. Its also your one chance to receive guaranteed issue of our new Voluntary Benefit options, including Accident insurance and Critical Illness insurance, with no medical questions asked.
Halfway through the Open Enrollment period for 2014 benefits nearly 1,000 UC employees have completed their online enrollment through the Employee Self-Service system Nearly 900 UC employees have participated in face-to-face sessions with a benefits counselor and nearly 700 have scheduled such meetings.
To schedule your own appointment, visit http://uc.myannualenrollment.com to schedule a meeting time that is convenient for you. Counselors are available around campus to meet with you in a private setting. Telephone appointments are also available and can be scheduled through the same website.
Aumann recommends preparing for your meeting.
Before your counselor meeting, be sure to review your benefit communication materials and write down any questions you have, Aumann said. You should also take the time to become a Humana.com registered user and have reviewed you and your family members claims prior to your meeting. Humana Benefit Planner Tool Available
Humanas Benefit Planner is available and is located on the Humana.com site. After accessing the site, select Insurance Through Your Employer and click on Enroll on Line. The tool provides a side by side comparison of the new plans using 18 months of claim data for your covered family members. Student Health Insurance Important Information for you to know
If you or a covered dependent are a UC student and considering enrolling in the new High Deductible Heal Plan, be sure to read the information HDHP and UC Student Health Insurance located online. Under some circumstances, you may need to take additional steps to ensure a smooth transition to new coverage requirements. UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of Kenneth Renshaw as CCM's new Assistant Professor of Violin. His faculty appointment officially begins on Aug. 15, 2025. Born and raised in San Francisco, Renshaw came to international attention in 2012 after winning First Prize at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in Beijing. He was also a prize winner in the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition of Belgium, and First Prize recipient of the inaugural Manhattan International Concert Artists Competition.
