COVID-19 Updates: uc.edu/publichealth
The Senior Audit program is designed for adults 60 years or older who have resided in Ohio for at least 1 year. The term audit indicates that the student is taking a UC course without receiving any credit for having taken the course.
Under certain conditions, senior adults may audit courses at the University of Cincinnati free of cost.
How to sign up for a course as a Senior Audit student
Step 1: Complete a Basic Data Form.
Step 2: Approximately two-three business days after submitting the form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for classes. The email will be sent to the address you stated in the Basic Data Form. Please note that if you were previously a student at UC, you will not receive this email.
Step 3: On the day the course starts, check One Stop's website to determine if the course is still open. If the course is open, send an email to us at email@example.com from your official UC email to request entry into the course. For the summer semester 2020, we will require an email from you for documentation purposes. In your email, please include the following:
- First and last name
- 5-digit class
- Subject/number (e.g. MATH1021)
- Course name
- Professor name (if available)
Step 4: Our office will check to see if you have removed all blocks from your account. We cannot proceed if blocks remain on your account.
Step 5: Our office will forward your email request to the professor to inquire about permission. We will also explain more about the Senior Audit program.
Step 6: Once the professor emails back confirming permission, our office will forward the approval email to the Registrar.
Step 7: The Registrar processes the form and sends notification that form was processed (automated) to you.
If you have any questions regarding the application procedure, please contact our advising team.
