Why study Business Administration Marketing?

The Master of Science in Marketing (MS-Marketing) program provides students with the tools and real-world experience necessary to pursue a successful career in marketing. The program has been developed to provide students with an innovative and specialized academic curriculum offering both breadth and depth of coverage in Marketing. Students will receive in-depth training in all areas of marketing, including branding, strategy, market research, buyer behavior, product management, and international issues. The program is designed to meet the needs of students having graduate or undergraduate degrees in both business and non-business backgrounds, and can be completed either full-time or part-time.

Experience-based learning is an integral component of the MS-Marketing program. Real-world field-study experiences will provide students with the opportunity to acquire practical, hands-on knowledge to establish or further their careers in the marketing profession.

1. Select The Program Start Year

 Select the year in which you plan on entering the program. International students based abroad are only eligible for full-time         intakes.

2. Resume

Ensure your resume clearly lists the dates of any professional (ex: full-time role, internships, co-ops), volunteer, non-profit, or any other leadership experiences. There is no formatting requirement, however, please review your resume for any grammatical mistakes and it should not be longer than 2 pages.

3. Transcript

You must have a US bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, or for international students the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree by the time of application. You may submit an unofficial copy of all of your undergraduate and graduate transcripts (and degree documents if applicable) with your application; official transcripts will be required if you're admitted and enroll. 

 

 

If you are an international applicant, you may be required to submit a NACES approved course by course evaluation of your transcript. Please contact the Graduate Programs Office to see if this is a requirement for your program.

4. Essays

Please complete the following prompt in 500 words or less:

Please upload a Statement of Purpose that answers the following questions. What is your career focus in marketing? What role or job fo you aspire to after completing your degree? What is your long term ambition?

5. Letters of Recommendation

Please select two recommenders who will be able to discuss your professional performance, academic performance, or work style. This can include previous supervisors, faculty members, or mentors. Letters of recommendation must come directly from the listed recommender on your application.

IMPORTANT: Your application will not move forward in the review process until we receive both letters of recommendation.

6.  Standardized Tests

The GMAT and GRE are currently optional.

7. Application Fee

Applicants are required to compete the fee payment in order to complete their application:

     US Residents: $65

     International: $70

The degree of Master of Science in Marketing is granted to those who satisfactorily complete the required course work, carrying a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more. The degree must be completed within five years of acceptance into the program. All students must contract for graduation and be enrolled for at least one credit hour of study during the academic year of graduation.

Students can transfer up to 12 semester hours of graduate credit from an AACSB accredited university. The course must have been taken within the past five years, with a grade of B or better. Courses must be approved by the academic director.

English Proficiency

If your native language is not English, you must demonstrate your proficiency in English. This includes submitting an IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo test score. Please click the link below to see the minimum score to be eligible for the program.

Next Steps

The program makes every effort to review and respond to applicants in a timely manner, typically within two to three weeks of the application being completed. During peak periods, or very early in the admissions cycle, additional processing time may be needed.
