UC_Secure
UC_Secure is the University primary wireless network for Faculty, Student and Staff at the University of Cincinnati.

If you wish to manually create a network profile before coming to campus, please follow your operating system’s directions and use the following information:
- SSID (Network Name): UC_Secure
- Security Type: WPA2 Enterprise (802.1x)
- Authentication Method: PEAP
- Inner Authentication Method: MSCHAPv2
- Encryption: AES

Data Jacks
Activation and deactivation of UC network data connections can be ordered through GetIT.
UCGuest
Visitors to the university should select the "UCGuest" wireless connection, which does not require a UC username and password.
Off Campus
SSL VPN
The Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network, commonly referred to as SSL VPN, allows authorized users access to private or restricted services on the UC network from off-campus locations. You will need to log into the VPN if you are off-campus and need access to a departmental file server or restricted service.
Eduroam
Eduroam (education roaming) is world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. UC students, faculty and staff can obtain Internet access while visiting any other eduroam member-institutions throughout the world using their UC username and password.

Static IP Requests
A static IP address allows a network device to have a dedicated network address. Static IP addresses can only be requested by UC employees.
