Esports

Esports, otherwise known as electronic sports, is the term for competitive gaming. Esports has a global fandom, with millions of gamers and competitors - producing billions in support of professional players and teams. The University of Cincinnati supports the growth and pursuit of esports through community events such as the UC Esports Club and competitions.

“To me, the Esports community has acted almost like a second family. I’ve always come to it as my home away from home. It makes me so happy to see that we’re getting a space to physically call home.”

— Chris Vu | President, UC ESports Club

The university cultivates the interest in gaming through the academic integration of courses and game design tracks. UC develops some of the country’s most creative, innovative, and talented students pursuing STEM-related fields of study.
