Covid19
University of Cincinnati Responds

The University of Cincinnati has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic as it does with all significant challenges — head on and with perseverance. Despite social distancing, UC has worked to devise solutions to meet its educational, creative, scholarly, research and service missions. Nearly every aspect of our campus community has been affected by the pandemic. But these changes, no matter the size or scope, must never keep us from being Bearcats. Our family is over 365,000 strong, and we will persevere by the wisdom ingrained in our university’s seal: strength in unity.

These situations have led to amazing and inspiring stories about a campus and a community that has united to bring hope through innovation, creativity and care for one another. Our students, faculty, staff and alumni are exhibiting compassion, flexibility and brilliance in the face of uncertainty.

Doctors and researchers across campus are working tirelessly to advance knowledge around this virus and ultimately help devise a cure. These UC scholars are making strides toward overcoming COVID-19 through novel programs, innovative research and collaborative teams, including the COVID-19 Research Innovation Task Force. The clinical trials and discoveries that are growing from these efforts have already shown great promise.

All of this is happening as Bearcats in Cincinnati and around the globe look beyond their own needs to help others in countless ways by choosing to “see the good” even during difficult times. We call it #UCtheGood.
