Step 1: Sign up. Complete a Basic Data Form (see below). Make sure to select the option that indicates you are taking classes as a Senior Auditor to ensure your account is set up correctly for billing purposes. As a reminder, to be eligible you must be
- a current Ohio resident (at least 1 year of residency);
- 60 years or older.
Please email us at transition@uc.edu to be sent a link to the Basic Data Form.
Step 2: Access to your new student account. Approximately 3-5 business days after submitting the form, you will receive two emails. The first will provide your UCID and Username. The second will have your official university email address and directions for accessing your UC email. These emails will be sent to the email you provided on the Basic Data Form. Please note that if you were previously a student at UC, you may not receive these emails.
Step 3: Start learning UC technology. Log into your UC email, Catalyst, and Canopy to learn the technology UC students use. You can find more about these technologies here. See below for your to-do list as a new student:
Get your UCID (M#)
- Log into Catalyst
- Select the three dots in the top right corner
- Your UCID number will be displayed
Check for outstanding tasks
- Log into Catalyst (learn more about outstanding items in Catalyst)
- Select the Tasks tile
- Choose To Do List or Service Indicators
- Click each item for additional info
Check your UC student email
This is the official mode of communication used by the university.
- Go to mail.uc.edu
- Log in using your username (often called your 6+2) and password
