Why study Systems Biology & Physiology?

The Systems Biology and Physiology PhD program is focused on understanding the network structure of organisms. Our large (more than 60) multidisciplinary faculty is composed of recognized experts committed to excellence. In this program, you will conduct research in four modern buildings with a full range of equipment and core facilities. As a Ph.D. student in this program, you will be able to choose a course of study that will prepare you to be a successful researcher, a dedicated teacher, or an entrepreneur. By working directly with members of the faculty and other researchers, you will develop the creative-thinking skills that will fully prepare you to be a leader in your chosen field.

Admission Requirements

  • BA with a strong background in the sciences
  • Overall GPA of at least 3.0
  • Excellence in advanced science courses
  • GRE
  • An advanced test (biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, mathematics or physics) recommended
