It is the mission of the UC Information Security Department to safeguard the sensitive data of our students, faculty and staff. To protect the Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability and Privacy of the business critical and regulated data needed by the University of Cincinnati in order to fulfill its mission. To protect the reputation of the University by proactively identifying existing vulnerabilities, by ensuring the remediation of those vulnerabilities and by investigation of Information Security incidents.

I invite you to spend some time looking through this site. Get a feel for what is here. Learn a little, have a little fun. Look for Tips and How To's, Recommendations, Standards, Best Practices, and for discussions of Legal requirements. Look for videos, games, quizzes, and downloadable booklets. There is a lot of material on these pages and links to much more. I recommend you begin with the one-page security summary for users. Think about what you learn. And when you hear someone ask a question about an InfoSec topic, you will know where to point them...
