A Bearcat For Life Story
Pharmacogenomics and personalized health care is really the future with medicine.
My name is Denise Clark and I was in UC Online's Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Healthcare program.
The online and asynchronous availability was a huge plus with my work schedule. It was really neat the way that the program directors really make sure that their students are going to be on schedule and complete the program.
I had an injury that changed my trajectory, and they checked in on me and made sure that I was going to be able to get everything completed and they helped me get everything back on track.
I’ve been a pharmacy technician for many years, and I actually work in pharmaceutical research for a contract research organization. I joined UC Online's program to to gain more skills to offer to my employer, to grow my position and hopefully find new experiences in the future.
UC helped me grow my skills and my confidence — that’s something I’ll carry as a Bearcat for Life.
