Ethics, Compliance & Community Impact
We strive to ensure an exceptional university experience by engaging with students, faculty, staff and alumni in meaningful ways – operating with the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and respect for all.
We support our Greater Cincinnati region through strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships that strengthen both our institution and the broader communities we serve.
Together, we foster an environment where integrity is foundational, respect is second nature, and community impact is a collective priority.
How We Serve
The Division of Ethics, Compliance & Community Impact is composed of four distinct offices that share a common vision of cultivating an environment where ethical behavior, fairness, and integrity are valued and practiced by all members of our University community.
The Office of Equal Opportunity has two separate locations. The team at USquare is responsible for non-discrimination complaint resolution, support, and education. The team at Edwards 1 assists with the implementation of the University’s Equal Opportunity Plan and provides search committee education.
The Office of the University Ombuds enables learning and innovation by normalizing and supporting skilled grappling with conflict. The Ombuds office is informal, impartial, independent, and confidential. The Ombuds team strives to be a zero-barrier resource and is available to all UC community members for any university-related conflict.
The Cincinnati Ethics Center works in the Greater Cincinnati community to foster the reasoning, civil dialogue, and decision-making skills that are essential for resolving the ethical, political, and social challenges we face as a community.
The Office of Community Impact administers community engagement initiatives within the University and the region as a whole that promote relationships with mutually beneficial, sustained impact.
