In this role the Executive Director functions as the ADA/Rehabilitation Act Coordinator and the EIT Accessibility Coordinator.

The Executive Director for Accessibility is responsible for administering University policies, procedures, programs, responsibilities and efforts around access for individuals with disabilities. This position coordinates institutional resources, tracks, and appropriately guides remediation of issues with accommodation provision, electronic and information technology access, and physical campus access. 

ADA/Rehabilitation Act Coordinator

The Executive Director for Accessibility is the university’s ADA/Rehabilitation Act Coordinator. The ADA Coordinator ensures that the university has in place the appropriate policies, procedures, resources and tools to provide reasonable disability accommodations to students, faculty, staff, applicants, guests, visitors, and other individuals participating in and/or seeking to participate in campus events, programs, and activities. The ADA Coordinator also ensures that appropriate processes are in place to provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and inquiries regarding compliance with ADA, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other relevant laws.

EIT Accessibility Coordinator

The Executive Director for Accessibility serves as the University’s EIT Accessibility Coordinator, responsible for the adoption, coordination and facilitation of the compliance efforts pertaining to the EIT Accessibility Policy and its supporting documentation, including the EIT Accessibility Plan and any related policies or procedures.

The Program Manager for Accessibility Compliance is responsible for compiling and maintaining data to track compliance with ADA, 504/508 Rehabilitation Act laws, policies and related procedures.  This includes regularly auditing campus accessibility data related to accommodation provision for students, employees, and visitors; electronic and information technology access; and physical campus access.  The Program Manager for Accessibility Compliance is also responsible for generating reports, communications, and compliance plans to document and support university-wide accessibility.  This position works in conjunction with the  Executive Director for Accessibility to reach these goals.
