SFC Braxton Yegerlehner hails from Mooresville, Indiana.  SFC Yegerlehner enlisted in the United States Army in July of 2004 as an Infantryman. He has served as a Machine Gunner, Rifle Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, Rifle Platoon Sergeant and Heavy Weapons Platoon Sergeant, as well as tours as a Drill Sergeant and Recruiter. SFC Yegerlehner has served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, 11th Airborne Division, 1-3 US INF “The Old Guard”, 3-47 Infantry Battalion, and Miami Recruiting Battalion.

SFC Yegerlehner deployed 3 times in the Global War on Terrorism. These tours included two tours in Afghanistan and one to the Horn of Africa. SFC Yegerlehner’s military education includes Airborne School, Air Assault School, Military Mountaineering Course, Combatives Level 1&2, Sling Load Inspector Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced and Senior Leaders Course, Basic Recruiter Course, Drill Sergeant Course.

 SFC Yegerlehner awards and decorations include the Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (6th award) Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5th award), Air Force Achievement Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award, Superior Unit Award, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, and Italian Foreign Jump Wings.

SFC Yegerlehner is also an avid Technical shipwreck and Cave Diver. He has completed multiple mixed gas diving courses as well as Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Cave. SFC Yegerlehner is also a certified ICE and Altitude diver, as well as completing both these courses near the arctic circle in Alaska.
