Becoming a Staff Senator is a great way to get involved with the university community and to have an impact on your workplace. The Senate provides many opportunities to learn about how the University works and to network with administrators and staff members outside of your unit.
The next term will begin July 1, 2020. The Staff Senate will have 12 at-large seats and approximately 20 open seats during this election.
To run for senate, nominees must have prior approval from their direct manager/supervisor.
The Senate will accept nominations for new senators at all campus, colleges and departments on March 13. The deadline for making nominations is April 3. To nominate a candidate for Staff Senate, complete the nomination form within the Bearcats Landing intranet site to nominate yourself or another eligible staff member to serve on the Staff Senate.
Elections will be held with online balloting and made available between May 1-May 15.
