Akwaaba Black Student Welcome

Each year, the African American Cultural & Resource Center formally welcomes students back to the University of Cincinnati, specifically seeking and catering to incoming students who are new to the university.

Akwaaba, which is the Akan (Ghana) word for "welcome," is a celebratory and informative time to introduce campus services, student organizations, and community resources to students, while providing a formal space for our "Center Kids" to reunite after their summer break!
