Public Policy Careers, Internships, & Co-Ops: Employer Partnerships

Looking to hire a UC student for an internship, co-op, part-time, or full-time position? The Portman Center and the School of Public and International Affairs seek to partner with a variety of employers, including:

• Local, state, and federal government agencies;
• Local, state, and federal elected officials;
• Law firms and courts;
• The electoral process, campaigns, and political groups;
• Nonprofits and advocacy groups.

Interested employers can send internship and job postings for disbursement to students through our Careers & Internship Database and Newsletter. Please email PortmanCareers@uc.edu with a position description PDF or instructions for students to apply. 

The Portman Center also offers assistance to employers through:

• Development of internships tailored for UC students.
• Matching students with interested employers.
• The Federal Work-Study program, which provides part-time jobs for undergraduates with demonstrable financial need. Eligible employers contribute only 25% of the salary. Learn more about Federal Work-Study (FWS).
