Portman Center Student Public Policy Experiences Award

Students who have been accepted to a public policy-related co-op or internship are eligible to apply for a financial stipend through the Portman Center Student Public Policy Experiences Award.

Students are eligible to apply for a standard stipend between $1,000 and $2,000, based on the number of hours worked and whether the internship experience is paid or unpaid. Students who are completing internships that would require relocation and/or temporary housing arrangements also may be eligible to apply for an additional housing and relocation stipend.

To apply for the award, students must complete the online application upon acceptance of their internship or co-op position. The full rules and eligibility requirements can be found within the application.

Applications are reviewed at the conclusion of each academic semester (spring, summer, and fall). Questions can be directed to PortmanCareers@uc.edu.
