Welcome to the Taft Research Center!

We are dedicated to advancing the study and teaching of the humanities in their broadest sense. We support individual and collaborative research, creative work, and opportunities for bringing people and ideas together. We provide faculty and student scholars the structure and community they need to advance their writing goals. From writing retreats, write-on-sites, and workshops to writing accountability groups, we offer several stand-alone and partnered programs open to the entire campus community.

Throughout the academic year we offer lectures, workshops, conversations, and partnered events that are free and open to the public. Many are connected to our annual theme, which takes up timely and enduring questions to explore from multiple perspectives.
