Dialects of Dhol is a social web platform that connects Dalit hereditary drummers and their performances with patrons, researchers, cultural institutions, and each other, bridging intense geographical and caste-based divides in the Indian Himalayas. The platform will be a model for responsible digital humanities research that prioritizes ethical engagement with Indigenous communities, including the expansion of livelihood and the collaborative stewardship of hereditary knowledge.
