Every Wednesday will offer various highlights of programming and resources for students, faculty and staff to engage in their well-being. Collaborations will be with UC offices, organizations and community partners. All UC bearcats are welcome to participate!

Join a Calm App Event This Week

Have you heard the sweet news that all students and benefits-eligible employees have access to a free Premium one-year subscription to the Calm app?!

Join us on campus for a Calm event on Wednesday, Nov. 9th or Thursday, Nov. 10th! Learn all about the Calm app, win prizes, warm up with hot chocolate and tea, and get set up with a premium subscription! All students, staff, and faculty are welcome!

  • Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Medical Campus in Procter Hall/College of Nursing entrance

  • Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  at UC Blue Ash in Muntz Hall – Bleeker Café

  • Thursday, Nov. 10 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at UC Clermont in Snyder Hall entrance near Park Gallery

  • Thursday, Nov. 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Main/West campus on Mainstreet (rain location: Campus Rec breezeway)

Details, including scheduling appointments, dates, locations, and safety measures, are available on the Health Related Screenings page (UC log in required). Last openings are in November. Hosted by Be Well UC and UC Benefits, provided by HealthWorks and UC Health.

UC Veterans Programs and Services

In honor of Veterans Day, Healthy UC would like to recognize the Office of Veterans Programs and Services was founded to ensure that all individuals associate with the military that chose the University of Cincinnati would have a seamless transition from the Armed Forces to college. If you are a current member of the United States Military, a veteran, or eligible dependent of a veteran, you can expect to receive quality and expedient service from Veterans Programs and Services.

Great American Smokeout with Tobacco Free UC

Join the Student Wellness Center, Tobacco Free UC and Be Well UC on November 15 from 12-2 p.m. on Mainstreet on the Uptown Campus cessation resources and the Tobacco Free UC policy.

Mental Health Champion Applications Open

This year, Healthy UC is looking to build a fourth cohort of Mental Health Champions! Do you often work with co-workers and/or students? Do you want to build your confidence and skillset to help and connect with someone in need? Are you wanting to explore what additional tools and resources are available related to mental and emotional well-being? UC faculty and staff, apply today!

Applications are open and are due by December 1st.  It is recommended that you share your hopes of becoming a Mental Health Champion with your supervisor for support and approval.

Once you complete your application, you will be added to the Mental Health Champion Teams page within 1 week, where all of the magic (trainings) happens!
