Liam M. Hanavan
Captain Hanavan is an assistant professor of aerospace studies for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 665.
In this capacity, he oversees and facilitates the recruiting, education, training, and character building of students from among twelve universities and colleges for commissioning into the United States Air Force as Second Lieutenants.
Capt Hanavan earned his commission in 2020 through AFROTC at Ohio University, where he studied political science. He has held numerous leadership roles in the nuclear missile community, including crew commander, instructor, evaluator, and chief of squadron standardization and evaluation on the LGM-30G Minuteman III ICBM weapon system.
He supported Operation GLOBAL CITADEL, helping maintain the nation's on-alert ICBM force and global strike capability. Most recently, he served as an emergency war order operations specialist, then flight commander, 741st Missile Squadron, Minot AFB, North Dakota.
