Darwin T. Turner Scholars
The Darwin T. Turner Scholars Program supports high-achieving undergraduate students through scholarship funding, leadership development, academic support, community service, and personal and professional growth opportunities. As a scholar, you will participate in seminars, mentoring, and engagement activities designed to foster your academic success, build your community, and help you develop the skills needed to excel at UC and beyond.
Gen-1/1MPACT House
Gen-1 is a living-learning community that supports first-generation, Pell-eligible students as they transition to and succeed at UC. Through academic support, leadership development, community engagement, career exploration, and a strong peer network, Gen-1 you build the skills, connections, and experiences needed for academic success, personal growth, and degree completion. Gen-1 scholars live in the 1MPACT House.
McNair Scholars
McNair Scholars helps high-achieving undergraduate students prepare for graduate school and doctoral studies through research experiences, faculty mentoring, academic enrichment, and graduate school preparation. Scholars participate in paid research opportunities, professional development seminars, conference presentations, and graduate school application support to help students interested in pursuing advanced degrees and research careers.
Student Leadership Programs
Student Leadership Programs is UC’s hub for leadership development, helping you build leadership skills and grow professionally through workshops, events, mentoring, and experiential learning opportunities. We can help you gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in student organizations, your careers, and making a difference in your community.
Student Support Services
Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally-funded TRIO program that supports first-generation college students, students from limited-income backgrounds, and students registered with Accessibility Resources in achieving their academic goals. The program provides tutoring, academic and career advising, financial aid guidance, graduate school preparation, and other support services designed to help you succeed, persist, and graduate from UC.
