Rishi Mehta is a third-year student in the College of Medicine working towards a B.S. in Medical Sciences with minors in Economics and Public Health as well as a Certificate in Integrative Health and Wellness

Rishi joined UC as a Cincinnatus Presidential Scholar, a Darwin T. Turner Scholar, and a member of the University Honors Program. He tailored his research career based on his own experiences as a patient at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, studying the pharmacogenomics of Methotrexate in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, post-translational protein modifications in Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and socioemotional effects of economic hardship in pediatric hospitalizations. For his research efforts, Rishi has earned the Cincinnati Children's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, 2020 AbbVie Immunology Scholarship, 2020 American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Marion B. Sewer Scholarship, and the national 2020 Barry Goldwater Scholarship.  After graduation, Rishi will join the management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group, in Philadelphia, PA to work in healthcare management consulting. He eventually intends to pursue an M.D./M.B.A dual degree to discover new ways to re-prioritize patients in healthcare consulting. Rishi serves as the Co-Founder and President of Queen City Consulting, a college organization that provides pro bono consulting work to Cincinnati-based companies. He also serves as President of the Student Activities Board, which oversees 500+ registered student organizations at the University of Cincinnati. In his free time, you can find Rishi trying different food in the Cincinnati area, learning how to make new foods, or binging shows with his friends.
