DTS Get Started Guide
New to UC? Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) is here to help.
Welcome to the University of Cincinnati! We're glad you're here and happy to help you. Use the following as a guide to setting up your technology before you arrive on campus and after you get settled in.
Before You Arrive
Set Up Your Password Profile
Use Password Self Service (PSS) to setup your password profile. PSS allows you to reset your password without calling the IT Service Desk.
Enroll a Device in Duo
The University of Cincinnati uses Duo Security for two-factor authentication. Duo helps protect your UC password from would-be hackers.
Set Up Email (and more) with Microsoft Office 365
Sign into email with your UC username and password at mail.uc.edu/. Access other Microsoft Office web apps (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams) from the app launcher (waffle menu) on the top, left-hand side of the screen.
Connect to Video & Web Conferencing Tools
Echo 360, Kaltura, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom—the official web conferencing tool for teaching and learning at UC.
Get the UC Mobile App
The UC Mobile App gives you access to campus maps, shuttle trackers, OneStop and more.
Get the DoubleMap App for NightRide
Use the DoubleMap App to track the NightRide Shuttle, a safe, free nighttime shuttle service for students, staff and faculty.
Once You Get Here
Connect to Wireless
Use your UC username and password to connect your computer or wireless devices to WiFi.
Stay Informed with Emergency Text Messaging
Although not recommended, you may opt-out of this service. NOTE: UC will not sell your information; user is responsible for any charges from their phone carrier.
Get Hardware & Software
There are many options available to students, faculty, and staff for purchasing discounted hardware and software, installing software, and repairing devices.
