Renewal Application Process

Students currently residing in University Housing who want to live in again for the 2024-25 academic year are eligible for the Renewal application process. 

Interested students should complete the Intent to Renew Form in the housing portal between Jan. 29 - Feb. 5. For more information about the renewal process, please visit the Contract Renewal for 2024-2025 page


Spring 24 Housing Waitlist

The Spring 2024 Housing application is currently closed as the number of applications received matches our anticipated spring vacancies. Any students interested in university housing that have not yet applied may join the waitlist by submitting a request in the housing portal. As we receive additional cancellations, we will extend offers to apply to students on the waitlist in the order they joined. 

Please note University Housing is not able to guarantee an assignment to students on the waitlist. Students on our waitlist are encouraged to explore all available housing options in the Uptown area. For help with your search, please visit our Housing Search page

Additionally, please note the University of Cincinnati will be closed for the winter recess beginning Saturday, Dec. 23 and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 2. University Housing will not make offers to students on the waitlist during the closure

Annual Housing Timeline

The application for University Housing and other related deadlines typically follow a cycle each year. The table below is intended to help you plan, whether you are still deciding to come to UC, you've already confirmed admission, you're transferring or you're a current resident.

September, Week 2 Bed lofting and room swap requests* open for fall
October, Week 1 Spring semester housing application opens for current academic year, will remain open unless space becomes unavailable

Winter break housing request form opens
December, Week 2 Spring semester housing applicants receive assignment information

*Bed lofting requests may continue as long as lofting hardware is available. Room swaps may continue until designated deadlines or until room availability is exhausted.


2023-24 University Housing Communities

Below you may view the options available to students seeking university housing for the 2023-24 academic year.

University Housing is a partnership between the University Housing Office and Resident Education & Development (RED) providing support to students living in the following locations:

  • Core properties/communities (first-year students)
  • University-leased properties/communities (upperclassman)

*Note: Community designation may be subject to change

First-year and new students will be assigned to their building, room and bed space in one of the following communities:

  • Calhoun Hall
  • Campus Recreation Center Hall
  • Dabney Hall
  • Daniels Hall
  • Marian Spencer Hall
  • Morgens Hall
  • Schneider Hall
  • Scioto Hall
  • Stratford Heights
  • The Deacon
  • Turner Hall
  • University Park Apartments (south)
  • U Square Apartments

Current residents seeking to continue living in university housing will be able to select from the following communities:

  • 101 East Corry
  • Bellevue Gardens
  • CP Cincy
  • The Eden
  • Jefferson House
  • University Edge
  • University Park Apartments (north)

For Gender Inclusive Housing, we strongly encourage potential and current residents to contact the ​Assistant Director of Resident Education & Development, Mika Karikari, early in the housing request process so we may offer the widest range of possible housing options.
