Ben Clark and Ashley Shellhause Present 'The Open Road' Exhibit at UC Clermont College

The Open Road exhibit presented by Ben Clark and Ashley Shellhause will be featured in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College from Oct. 6-29. There will be an opening reception for Ben Clark on Oct. 7, 6 – 8 p.m.

Join us for an exhibit of pottery, paintings and drawings. The exhibit focuses on mans’ need for nature in both a biological and experiential sense. Clark’s pottery work is based on “the human impulse to build and create." "The more digital we become the more important it is that we have things that ground us and bring us back outside,” said Clark.

Shellhause’s paintings and drawings are related to science and help to reveal the “aggressive quality of human systems that threaten the natural,” said Shellhause. “Man versus nature – humans naturally build off of what we see in nature. Natural is never completely natural to humans, we are always looking through our own perspective,” added Shellhause.
