OTR mural celebrates UC alumni innovation and impact

The UC Alumni Association (UCAA) will host its annual Alumni Celebration during Alumni Week, April 13-18, with a community art project commemorating this year’s slate of alumni honorees receiving the organization’s top awards. Taking place April 16 at the First Financial Center (Cincinnati Convention Center), the Alumni Celebration will recognize the 18 honorees for their individual and collective innovation and impact, and the resulting impact on their university, communities, and fields of endeavor.

UC alumni discover a love that lasts at UC

Bearcat love stories are as unique as the couples who live them. They can begin with a sports activity or a social function. They can take root when a relative steps in to facilitate a pairing that clearly is meant to be. Or, in a once-in-a-million stroke of luck, they can begin when someone says hello to “the girl next door.” As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, four alumni couples share their Bearcat love stories—personal tales of romance, devotion and continued engagement with UC.

UC launches Bearcats Affordability Grant

January 7, 2026

The University of Cincinnati is making college more attainable for students across Ohio with the creation of the Bearcats Affordability Grant. The new grant will provide a pathway to tuition-free college for students of families who make less than $75,000 per year. Beginning in fall 2026, the Bearcats Affordability Grant will cover the remaining cost of tuition for Ohio residents who are Pell eligible.

University of Cincinnati college is piloting a program to serve alumni of foster and kinship care

December 12, 2025

In 2025 the Ohio Reach Postsecondary designation was awarded to UC's College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) as part of the program's third cohort. The program recognizes and supports higher education institutions that have worked to make their campuses welcoming and accessible for students with a history in foster or kinship care. CECH will run a pilot program called Anchor Point aimed at wide-scale implementation across the campus in Fall 2026.
