CCM Media Production nominated in NATAS Ohio Emmy Awards

Students, faculty and alumni from UC College-Conservatory of Music's BFA Media Production program received 17 nominations in the 2026 Ohio Valley Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Award winners will be announced at the Ohio Valley Chapter Emmy Awards ceremony on July 25, 2026.

In Memoriam: CCM Associate Dean Emeritus Warren George

The University of Cincinnati is saddened to share news of the passing of CCM Associate Dean Emeritus Warren E. George. A dedicated member of CCM's faculty and leadership team for 31 years, George passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 90.

CCM students create installation for BLINK 2026

Students from UC College-Conservatory of Music are creating a dazzling display for BLINK, the nation's largest public light and art festival. Illuminated by ArtsWave, BLINK transforms 30+ city blocks from Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine through Northern Kentucky on Oct. 8-11, 2026.

CCM welcomes Sekyung Jang as Assistant Professor of Music Therapy

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of Sekyung Jang, PhD, as CCM's new Assistant Professor of Music Therapy. Her faculty appointment officially begins on Aug. 15, 2026, and Jang will work with college leadership to develop a new program in Music Therapy at CCM in partnership with UC's College of Medicine and the Osher Center for Integrative Health. Jang is an educator, scholar and music therapist passionate about fostering a culture of learning in which students feel safe to explore new ideas, make mistakes, and freely and respectfully receive and give feedback. Jang’s teaching is characterized by a balanced combination of lectures, experiential learning opportunities, and discussion-based instruction that helps students integrate theory and practice.

CCM announces initial schedule of performances for 2026-27

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) has announced its initial schedule of major performances for 2026-27. These 15 events include beloved titles for the stage like La bohème, RENT and Cabaret, along with concerts showcasing the works of Gustav Mahler, Duke Ellington and John Williams … just to name a few highlights! This schedule of major performances runs Sept. 15, 2026, through April 23, 2027. Tickets for all 15 concerts and shows listed below are on sale now. CCM alumni win big at the 2026 Tony Awards

UC College-Conservatory of Music alumni took center stage during a star-studded evening on Sunday, June 7, when music superstar P!NK hosted the American Theatre Wing’s prestigious Tony Awards. Two of CCM's most accomplished alumni took home top honors during this year's ceremony. Shoshana Bean and Stephen Flaherty both received Tonys during the June 7 ceremony.

CCM welcomes new dance faculty member Megan Flynn

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of Megan Flynn as CCM's new Assistant Professor of Dance. Her faculty appointment officially begins on Aug. 15, 2026. Flynn is a versatile dance educator, choreographer and performer. She is passionate about supporting students to discover a more expansive, holistic embodiment of dance technique, performance and art-making, which reflects her own journey as a dance artist.

CCM welcomes new film and media scoring faculty member J.R. Paredes

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of J.R. Paredes as CCM's new Assistant Professor of Film and Media Scoring. His faculty appointment officially begins on Aug. 15, 2026. Paredes is a composer, music producer and audio post-production specialist whose work spans film, television and commercial music. His credits include original scores for feature films and series distributed on platforms such as Apple TV+ and Prime Video, as well as extensive work in sound design and mixing for film and media.
