Career Fairs and Resources for every Bearcat

From part-time jobs to major industry recruiting days, the University of Cincinnati has a full slate of events this semester — plus support waiting at the Bearcat Promise Career Studio.

If you’ve never stepped into a career fair, never practiced an elevator pitch, or never attended a workshop, you’re not behind — you’re exactly where many successful Bearcats started. The University of Cincinnati has designed this fall’s events with students like you in mind. These are welcoming spaces to explore, ask questions, make connections, and take your first (or next) step with confidence.

Whether you’re simply curious about career options or ready to pursue a co-op, internship, part-time job, or full-time role, there’s a place for you this semester. Here’s what’s coming up:

Part-Time Job Fair

Sept. 3, 1–3 p.m. | TUC Great Hall


A relaxed way to meet employers offering paid, part-time work on or near campus. Great for first-timers. RSVP through Handshake.

Student Organizations Reverse Career Fair
(especially helpful for Engineering and IT students) Sept. 6, 3:30–5:30 p.m. | Nippert Stadium West Pavilion, North Lounge

Employers come to you. Student organization members host tables while recruiters walk around — lower pressure and more conversation time. Students not yet in an organization are welcome too. Dress professionally and bring resumes. Learn more.

Presented by Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honorary Society and Lindner Student Services. Connect with organizations in a focused setting. Bring printed resumes, dress in business professional attire, and research companies beforehand if you can. Register on Handshake.

Meet corporate recruiters hiring for sales and marketing roles, co-ops, and internships. Bring 10–15 resumes, dress professionally, and practice a short introduction. Research employers and RSVP in Handshake.

Architecture, Interior Design, and Planning Career Fair
Oct. 1, 4:30–6:30 p.m. | DAAP Building

The Architecture and Interior Design Co-op Fair is your best opportunity to meet potential co-op employers (about 50 companies expected). Recruit for spring and/or summer 2027 co-ops with UC-DAAP architecture, interior design, and planning students. Learn more and register in Handshake.

Social Sciences & Humanities Co-op Fair

Oct. 20, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. | TUC Great Hall


Meet hiring managers offering diverse co-op positions—especially valuable for Arts & Sciences majors. Open to all students. Register in Handshake.

Feeling unsure about what to wear, what to say, or how to prepare is completely normal. The College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies offers clear guidance and hands-on support so you can walk in feeling ready.

Review the career fair preparation guide, practice a simple elevator speech, polish your resume with ResumeAI through BigResume, and look up attending employers in Handshake. Many events also include information sessions and employer tabling — check Handshake regularly for the latest details and easy registration.

Most importantly, stop by the Bearcat Promise Career Studio (Tangeman University Center, Room 310) during drop-in hours or make an appointment to meet with a Career Coach. Alternatively, DAAP, CEAS, and SoIT students can meet with their assigned Faculty Co-op Advisor. The Career Studio is a friendly, judgment-free space where you can get help with resumes, practice conversations, attend career workshops, and ask any question — no experience required.

While you’re there, take advantage of two especially helpful resources: the Career Closet inside the Career Studio, which offers a limited selection of professional clothing so you can feel confident and appropriately dressed for fairs, interviews, or networking events, and the free professional photo booth, where you can get polished portraits for your Handshake profile, LinkedIn, or other professional use — at no cost. Students who qualify for assistance can find a wider range of professional attire at the Bearcats Pantry & Resource Center located in Stratford Heights, Building 16, Room 101 (2634 Stratford Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220).

Drop in early and often. Starting small builds confidence fast, and the team is there to walk alongside you.

These events and resources exist to help you explore, connect, and grow at your own pace. Showing up is already a win. Polish your materials, take a deep breath, and give yourself permission to learn as you go. Your first co-op, internship, or career step is closer than you think — and you don’t have to get there alone.
