The University of Cincinnatis
Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library
(HSL) is partnering with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) to bring to campus a series of workshops to educate researchers on a number of databases housed within the NCBI domain.
The workshops will be held at various times between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 8-9 and between 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 10 in Kresge Auditorium in the College of Medicine. A complete schedule is available online at

. Each workshop will be three hours long and facilitated by NCBI experts and trainers. Workshop topics include: a practical guide to NCBI Blast; accessing genomes, assemblies and annotation products; accessing NCBI human variation and medical genetics resources; exploring gene expression information at the NCBI and principles of PubChem.
Each workshop is free and open to the public but may be of particular interest to faculty and researchers in medicine, biology, chemistry and related fields. More information about the workshops and trainers, the complete schedule and a link to registration can be found at
