Registrations Accepted for 3T: Teaching, Techniques and Technology Conference


Register now for the sixth annual 3T: Teaching, Techniques & Technology conference set for March 3 at UC Clermont College. The event promotes the scholarship of teaching and learning through a range of innovative teaching practices, cutting edge pedagogical developments and practical applications of technology in classrooms across disciplines.

UC ingot   Registration is now open for the 3T Teaching, Techniques and Technology Conference to be held at UC Clermont College on Saturday, March 3. The conference promotes the scholarship of teaching and learning through a range of innovative teaching practices, cutting-edge pedagogical developments and practical applications of technology in classrooms across disciplines.
 
The conference features:
-Keynote speaker: Todd Zakrajsek, Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
-Several concurrent presentations/sessions
-Complimentary breakfast and lunch

Proposals
The college is currently accepting proposals for 45-minute concurrent session presentations and for poster presentations. Proposals can be made for a group (up to three co-presenters) or for individual presentations. The deadline for submitting proposals is Wednesday, Jan. 17, by midnight (EST). Individuals who submit proposals will be notified of their status by Feb. 5. Please direct questions to Girija Nair-Hart at nairhaga@uc.edu. Submit a proposal.

Conference registration fee includes conference materials, access to all sessions, the keynote speaker session, and complimentary breakfast and lunch.

-Conference Registration for UC adjunct faculty/K-12 educators/students: $75

Conference keynote speaker
Todd Zakrajsek is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine and associate director of the Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Zakrajsek is also an adjunct associate professor of Faculty Development in the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. He is the immediate past executive director of the Center for Faculty Excellence at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to his work at UNC, he was the inaugural director of the Faculty Center for Innovative Teaching at Central Michigan University and the founding director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Southern Oregon University, where he also taught in the psychology department as a tenured associate professor.

Zakrajsek has served on many boards and is currently serving terms as an elected steering committee member for the both the Professional Organizational Developers Network and the National Academies Collaborative. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Undergraduate Medical Education. He directs five national Lilly Conferences on College and University Teaching and Learning. His current academic work and publications pertain to faculty development, effective instructional strategies and student learning.
