Campus to Host Jan. 17 Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
The UC campus will host a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Great Hall, Tangeman University Center. The event is sponsored by the AACRC; President Neville Pinto will deliver an opening welcome.

Campus will host a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., at noon,
Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Great Hall, Tangeman University Center.
The event is sponsored by the African American Cultural & Resource Center and is titled “Remnants of the Dream:
Deferred, Devalued, Yet Deliverable.”
The program consists of:
- 11:30 a.m.: Doors open
- 11:45 a.m.-12:05 p.m.: Ngoma and the Black Arts Collaborative
- Noon: Opening presentation: LeLAnd Brown, Carver Ealy and P. Eric Watford
- Opening Remarks: Ms. Kuamka and Mr. Mr. Kuamka 2018
- Official University Welcome: President Neville Pinto
- Additional welcome: Vice President for Student Affairs Debra Merchant
- Official Student Welcomes: Student Government Association, Presidents, United Black Student Association
- Universal Prayer: Leslie Keener, Catholic Campus Minister, University of Cincinnati,St. Monica-St. George Parish Newman Center
