AJ Quiban

AJ Quiban is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Games and Animation with a minor in Asian Studies. She joined the University of Cincinnati as a Cincinnatus Century scholar and has since continued engaging in volunteer work as a Bearcat Buddy. She is also an executive board member of UC’s Japanese American Student Society and has previously participated in UC’s Japanese Religion and Culture Study Abroad opportunity.

Outside of academics, AJ is a freelance artist who has illustrated various works including a children’s book written by Patty Shepard titled Bubblegum Goes to College. In her hometown, she volunteers for the non-profit STEAM program Destination Imagination, where young minds come together to solve challenges and create solutions with their peers. After graduation, she intends to continue her pursuit of animation and her understanding of the Japanese language by moving to Japan and working as an animator.
