Dolo Echeverria Jimenez
Dolo Echeverría Jiménez is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a minor in History and a certificate in Museum Studies. They arrived at UC in 2022 as a Cincinnati’s Scholar and a recipient of the Cincinnati Pride Grant. In Spring of 2025, they were awarded the Silver Medal for the Bluegrass Area Japanese Skit Contest. In Fall of 2025, Dolo finalized their senior research paper, “Analysis of Assimilation Policies Towards Indigenous Populations in the U.S. and China with a Focus on Education.”
Dolo has been an active member of Students for Justice in Palestine since 2023, and Young Democratic Socialists of America since 2025. They have held art education internships at the Kennedy Heights Art Center and Cincinnati Art Museum.
Outside of academia, they enjoy giving back to the community as an interpreter/general volunteer at Tikkun Farm and is a co-founder of the Latine/Hispanic Power Initiative (LHPI), a nonprofit organization that advocates for Latine/Hispanic rights and community.
After graduation, Dolo hopes to pursue a career in Art/Museum Education. In their free time, Dolo enjoys playing video games, going to museums, and learning about political history.
