Scholar Spotlight: Emma Correia

Emma Correia is a Spring 2026 graduate of the Master of Arts in Educational Studies with a concentration in Higher Education Administration. She also works as an admissions counselor within the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

After graduating with a BA in Linguistics and Spanish from the University at Buffalo in 2023, she completed a Fulbright grant as an English Teaching Assistant in Andorra which added to her list of international education experiences. During her undergraduate career she completed research on minority language preservation, interned at refugee resettlement agencies, taught first-year colloquium courses, facilitated Spanish conversation tables, and was deeply involved in various student organizations. She continues to volunteer with migrant populations in Cincinnati at organizations like Casa de Paz. Emma seeks to better serve diverse populations in her role as a higher education administrator and encourages the pursuit of immersive and developmental opportunities regardless of one’s position or background.
