Erin Tedtman

Erin Tedtman is a senior honors student in the School of Public and International Affairs. She is a double major pursuing BAs in International Affairs and Political Science, with a concentration in Gender and Multicultural politics, and certificates in Legal and Middle Eastern Studies. With a passion for criminal justice reform, she plans on attending law school and pursuing a career as a public defender upon graduation.

Beyond her studies, Erin has spent the last two years working at the Ohio Innocence Project and the Ohio Justice & Policy Center. Erin is a senior policy intern at OIP supporting legislative reform efforts, post-release client services, and community-based education initiatives. She is also serving as an administrative assistant at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center guiding clients through the Second Chance program and assisting operational management in improving office efficiency.

Outside of criminal justice reform, Erin is also interested in civic engagement and local government. She is currently a member of the third cohort of Action Tank's City Council Bootcamp. This program teaches community members how to engage in local politics as they learn about a range of topics in bi-weekly classes, including public records requests, budgetary processes, political fundraising, etc. CCB is also helping Erin craft a policy priority as she researches local ordinances and proposes achievable legislative reforms. In her free time, Erin loves to explore new restaurants around Cincinnati and watch documentaries on Netflix.
