Jenn Breiner
Jenn Breiner is a first-year PhD student in Biological Sciences in the Culley Lab at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her undergraduate studies at UC as a Cincinnatus Scholar, earning a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Environmental Studies, along with a minor in Spanish.
Jenn has been actively involved in research for the past three years, working as an undergraduate research assistant in UC’s Department of Biological Sciences. Her work has focused on visual ecology in jumping spiders (family Salticidae) and the study of invasive plant species.
Outside of UC, Jenn has worked in environmental education as a marine conservation educator at the Newport Aquarium and as a nature interpreter with Great Parks of Hamilton County.
After completing her PhD, Jenn plans to pursue a career as a research professor. She hopes to combine her research and outreach experience to promote student and public engagement in the conservation of local ecosystems.
