Nicholas Marx is a second year student at UC from Louisville, Kentucky double majoring in French and Mathematics with a certificate in Spanish. Prior to attending UC, he lived and worked in both Senegal and Spain for two years while studying Wolof and Spanish respectively. He is a College of Arts & Sciences Scholar, a member of the University Honors Program, and a Global Changemaker Scholarship Fellow through Global Citizen Year, a gap year program based in Oakland, CA.
Nicholas speaks four languages, English, Spanish, French, and Wolof, and is excited to learn Swahili through the Critical Language Scholarship Swahili program this summer. A winner of the Boren Scholarship, Nicholas will travel to Senegal for a full year to study French. Upon graduation, Nicholas hopes to work on US infrastructure projects abroad through the US Foreign Service or US Aid.
