Sophie Glenn

Sophie Glenn is a rising second-year student from Cincinnati, double majoring in English Literary and Cultural Studies and Latin American, Caribbean, Latino/a/x Studies. She is a proud student in the University Honors Program and a Darwin T. Turner Scholar. She currently volunteers at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and is the head of monthly food serves to Camp Washington’s food insecure population with Cincinnati Community Aid and Praxis. She has been involved with the Bearcat Buddies program as a kindergarten tutor at Roll Hill Elementary, Residence Hall Government as a diversity council representative, and the Ohio Student Association’s Freedom Summer Action Team where she helped create a voter’s guide geared towards Ohioan students. She hopes to go to graduate school and pursue a career as an educator of underserved communities outside of the academic mainstream. Outside of academics, she enjoys practicing her Spanish, knitting, and watching indie movies.
