What is Narcan and FTS?

NARCAN®

NARCAN® is the brand name for the drug naloxone. NARCAN® Nasal Spray is a potentially life saving medicine used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency. Narcan can be easily dispensed in the nose.

  • To obtain NARCAN® kit through the mail, fill out a form from HCPH

  • By downloading the Overdose Rescue App you can easily see educational info, emergency overdose help, NARCAN® form, and more!

FTS

FTS stands for Fentanyl Test Strips. These are small strips of paper that can detect the presence of fentanyl in different types of drugs and different formulations of drugs such as pills, powders, and liquids. Knowing if fentanyl is present in a substance allows people to take extra steps to reduce their risk of overdose.

  • If you are interested in obtaining Fentanyl Test Strips from HCPH, text FTS to 22999 or fill out this form.
