President Pinto’s statement on anniversary of Samuel Dubose’s killing
“The tragic killing of Samuel DuBose on July 19, 2015 by a former UC police officer must not be forgotten. I want to continue to express sorrow and remorse to Samuel’s family and loved ones for his senseless killing. Eradicating racism and eliminating police brutality have never been more essential for our society. Within our ranks, we must remain deeply committed to upholding the multi-year reforms to UCPD’s policies and practices, sustaining a culture of inclusion, accountability and transparency along the way.”
