Dear UC Community,
Please be aware that Cincinnati Police are investigating several off-campus incidents involving the same suspect. In two incidents, the suspect threatened the students with a weapon and then fled, and in two seperate incidents the subject displayed a weapon and robbed the students. The suspect was driving a 2007 blue Mitsubishi Outlander. The incidents occurred between 7:30 and 8 p.m. last night and around 7 p.m. tonight. The incidents have occurred in the following areas:
- 2300 block of Stratford Avenue
2400 block of Fairview Avenue
2300 block of Victor Street
2300 block of Chickasaw Street
The victims in each incident were not harmed. It is important to be aware of your surroundings, especially at night, and follow the below safety tips.
- If you see something, say something. It’s on all of us to keep campus safe. Information about Bystander Intervention Training is available on the Student Wellness Center’s website.
If you observe suspicious activity, or are a victim of a crime, call 911.
Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
