Blood donors to receive free Cincinnati Zoo ticket
Just in time for May zoo babies event
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, has partnered with the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens to gift blood donors with a free zoo ticket during May.
All blood and platelet donors who roll up a sleeve from May 1 through May 22 at any of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers will receive one free ticket to the Cincinnati Zoo!
“Spring is officially upon us, and we are thrilled to be partnering with the one of Cincinnati’s most loved attractions, the Cincinnati Zoo,” says Jackie Marschall, Hoxworth spokesperson. “We are excited to gift our hero blood donors with an opportunity to see Fiona, Fritz, and the May zoo babies as a thank you for helping us save lives close to home.”
Increased usage of blood products in area hospitals is the “new normal,” and blood and platelet donors are needed now more than ever to meet the demand of local patients in need.
Each zoo ticket is valid through April 30, 2024, and a voucher will be emailed to donors. Appointments for blood donation are encouraged. Donors can schedule appointments by calling (513) 451-0910 or by scheduling online at hoxworth.org.
