The seventh edition of UC Day of Giving, the University of Cincinnati’s annual 24-hour initiative to drive meaningful change through philanthropy, will run from noon on Tuesday, April 9, through noon on Wednesday, April 10. Throughout the day, members of the Bearcat family around the world will come together to support the UC causes they care about the most. Gifts of all sizes will combine to support scholarships, drive innovation, and help the UC community grow in every way.
Coordinated by the UC Foundation and UC Alumni Association, UC Day of Giving is a key element of Alumni Week, which runs April 8-13, as well as an opportunity for all Bearcats — alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, supporters and friends — to coalesce around a central philanthropic event. Powered by every donor, UC Day of Giving is super-charged by volunteer ambassadors and influencers who inspire participation from members of their networks through social media, email and personal outreach.
“I am confident that this year’s 24-hour challenge will unite our community and bring about meaningful change,” said Peter E. Landgren, president of the UC Foundation. “It’s inspiring to see the impact Bearcats can have when we come together.”
When alumni give, collectively we elevate the entire university.

This year’s UC Day of Giving will be the biggest to date, featuring more than 25 challenges and $135,000 in matching funds available, where donors can turn their $25 gifts into $50 and instantly double the impact. Gifts made now through April 10 at noon will be counted toward UC Day of Giving. Click the link to make your gift today. All gifts made via credit card and payroll deduction by faculty and staff between now and April 10 at noon will also count for both UC Day of Giving and the Faculty & Staff Campaign.
“Through our own personal experience and passions, each of us have areas within the UC community that really matter to us,” said Chief Alumni Officer Jennifer Heisey. “UC Day of Giving is the ideal time to support those initiatives. When alumni give, collectively we elevate the entire university. I'm excited about the BIG impact we’ll make together this year."
