Update Duo mobile passcode or switch to Duo mobile push
Duo, UC’s two-factor authentication (AKA multi-factor authentication) tool, will release a time-based security enhancement to Duo Mobile Passcode on Wednesday, May 1.
UC students, faculty, and staff — including contract and affiliate employees — will need to update to the latest version (4.49.0 or newer) of the Duo Mobile App by May 1 to continue using the Duo Mobile Passcode authentication option.
The UC Office of Information Security strongly recommends using the Duo Mobile Push option for two-factor authentication. With Duo's single-tap, user-friendly interface, you can quickly verify your identity by approving push notifications before accessing applications.
