Canned Food Drive to Benefit Local Children
The UC co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega is sponsoring a canned food drive from noon-2 p.m., May 19-23 on McMicken Commons. Fraternity member Michael Rust says donations will benefit the local non-profit agency, For AIDS Children Everywhere (FACE). The organization assists children and families affected by AIDS and HIV.
Rust says any canned food goods, from green beans to baked beans to soup, are welcome donations. Collections will be taken at an Alpha Phi Omega booth that will be set up on McMicken Commons and in the Student Government Pavilion May 19-23. For more information, e-mail Michael Rust at rustmj@email.uc.edu.
