Science Fair At UC Can Lead To State Prestige For Competitors

The University of Cincinnati will host the Southwest Ohio District Science & Engineering Expo (SEE) on April 2, 2005. Students in 7-12 grades who get top recognition at their school science fairs can compete at UC for awards and prize money. Students who attend schools that do not hold science fairs can still offer their project for consideration for UC’s Southwest District Science & Engineering Expo.

The top 80 projects that are awarded at UC can compete at the Ohio Academy of Science/State Science Day competition, which will be held at Ohio State University on May 7, 2005. The University of Cincinnati is the only site in which top student projects representing southwestern Ohio will qualify for the state competition.

Students from the following counties who receive “superior” ratings at their school science fairs may enter UC’s Southwest District Science & Engineering Expo:

  • Butler
  • Clermont
  • Hamilton
  • Preble
  • Warren
