Dr. Jay Lee Appointed Ohio Eminent Scholar in Advanced Manufacturing
Dr. Jay Lee will join the UC College of Engineering faculty in April 2005. He has taught in a number of institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, and has conducted research at the University of Tokyo and at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. He has served as chairman for the Manufacturing Engineering Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as well as on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Manufacturing Science. Currently, he is a member of the Board on Manufacturing and Engineering Design of the National Research Council.

Rising 9th and 10th graders experienced a free, weeklong, immersive engineering camp at the University of Cincinnati as part of GE's Next Engineers program. Students completed hands-on engineering design challenges while being mentored by GE Aerospace volunteers, industry professionals and current College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) students.
